Professional football clubs use Football Manager 2017 in the work

PC Gamer published a conversation with the head of business development of the company Sports Interactive Tom Markham. It talks about how professional football clubs use the Football Manager 2017, a soccer manager's simulator, in their work. According to Tom, the game uses large clubs from England and the American Football League (MLS).

Tom said that the team uses the databases on which Football Manager 2017 is based, and analyze the players' prospects, find talents and assess their own prospects. Some commands are used to track specific indicators.

One of the teams of the Premier League uses information about the growth and weight of its players. There are clubs that track through our bases the termination of contracts of other players. There are those who are looking for young talents to be involved in their youth teams or for subsequent resale. Do not forget that football is business.

Apparently, the statistics Football Manager 2017 allows managers and analysts to keep all the interesting and necessary information in one place. And this is without creating your own databases and hiring additional teams of analysts and scouts.

But scouts have a Sports Interactive. Data for gaming simulators are collected by more than 1300 scouts around the world. They study football clubs, players, football academies and watch matches of completely different levels in 51 countries of the world.

With the simulator Football Manager there are several successes. For example, the coaches of the German "Hoffenheim" told that they found the Brazilian Roberto Firmino, now playing for Liverpool, in the simulator Football Manager. He was bought from the second Brazilian league, when no one else knew about it, but the game showed the future progress and prospects of the player.

Or the story of Ben Vriglesworth, who with the help of Football Manager 2015 studied the transfer market players and is now considered one of the best British scouts. It was he who helped "Leicester" in the search for players before last year's championship season. His main achievement was the purchase of Jamie Vardi, who became the star of last season. Now Ben heads the scouting service of "Leicester", although a couple of years ago did not have anything to do with it. In addition, his character is in Football Manager 2016 and 2017.

Not bad, huh?

The game has always been quite complex but I never thought they made such  big deal out of it! Very interesting!

Namaste

I'm not very surprised considering the amount of depth put into this title.

Lunar

How cool to know that ... I hope it really helps the clubs.

Interstellar

Amazing that a sim could be that useful to the actual clubs, very impressive!
