Avatar 2 arrives only in 2020, and this is both good and bad for Ubisoft's game

Movie series Avatar received a cemented future - the next four movies we will see in the next eight years, with that schedule is a little strange. Avatar 2, or whatever its name is going to be, comes out on 20/12/2020, and was originally scheduled to come out in 2014 and so far has been delayed four times already. The third part will follow in 2021, followed by a pause of three years so it comes back in 2024 and then in 2025. If by then won`t be an end of the world.

New delay of the movie probably set dark in front off Ubisoft`s eyes, whose Massive Entertainment is working on the next Avatar game, parallel with the Division. In the case that development of the game is completed within two years, but had to wait for the completion of the movie, anything could happen. A year in the gaming industry means a lot, and 2020 could be a key year in which we see a new generation of consoles.

Of course, it is possible that the game because of three year development turns out better, but given the number of Avatar`s delays, there is no guarantee that the schedule won`t move again. In this case, the real question is whether to Ubisoft is financially profitable to launch the game before the movie.

It's a pity. I like Avatar and I'd like to watch sequel finally as well as play Avatar game.

They lost an opportunity. Three years is enourmous in terms of Ubisoft's balance.

So long time can make the franchise to be more awaited. But it's an expensive and dangerous game, because people can simply forgot about it.
