PlayerUknown's Battlegrounds sold its first million

Some games are sold well under piles of money invested in marketing. Others are sold without any special advertising. The case of the latter is PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds - a game of survival that came out of nowhere and for the third week in a row is not coming down from the top of the list of best-selling games on Steam.

PlayerUknown's Battlegrounds so in less than a month has sold over a million copies. Impressive success is even greater because the game is PC exclusive, and in addition is Early Access title. As it stands now, the game is on good track to establish a new genre called Battle Royale.

For those not familiar, it is about the principle where the last one who remains alive among 100 contestants at the large 8 x 8 km island wins.
