Oof..that's a tough one. I can run MOST games on my 980 at 1440p and ultra, but not all. A 480 or 1060 MIGHT run some games at 1440p on Medium, but I wouldn't expect miracles at that price range.

It is certainly within the realm of possibility, graphics hardware is become astronomically cheaper every day. Still, I would spend the extra $100 and go with a 6GB 1060.
