Awesome Games Done Quick Finishes Event With New Donations Record

  • 225

As many of you know, Awesome Games Done Quick (AGDQ) has finished their week long event earlier today. By the end of the live event, they managed to raise $2.2 million, which is a record high for them. Last year, they raised $1.2 million. The donations are still slowly coming of course but this means this year was almost double last year's! This was also the first time they managed to raise $1 million in only one day ($1 million to $2 million). So hats off to everyone who tuned in and showed their support. All of this money will be donated to the Prevent Cancer Foundation. One day we'll beat cancer for reals.

What were you favorite speedruns from the event? Mine was watching Ocarina of Time 3D and Rocket: Robot on Wheels (woohoo!). Oh yeah, let's not forget Timecop. Hilarious stuff. For those who want to watch a specific run, here is their playlist. Are you guys still itching for the next event? Don't worry Summer Games Done Quick (SGDQ) will come soon this July 2nd to 9th in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Maybe they will break the record ($1.3 million) too!

We did it bois, ADGQ's new PB! Unfortunately I didn't get to watch that of it, but it was still great.

I watched only Fallout: New Vegas and tbh I was disappointed a bit as it was done by use of glitches which allows to move faster, like teleport while reloading gun.

Planetary

Well it was advertisement heavy this year. Not surprising

It had to be done. Speedruns take advantage of everything that aren't actual cheats.
