Well for the time being you're trading up to a card that won't work in the Amplifier though. Nvidia needs a driver update.

Yeah, well, you know that's just like, ugh, your opinion man.

I'm aware of this, and I can live with the 860m for the time being - the 780ti had been sitting in a box for nearly a month  before the Amplifier arrived and I had been gaming on an old 560ti  based build while I waited for the laptop to arrive. Im sure Nvidia will release the drivers withing the next couple of days/weeks, whatever. My step up is a free upgrade, but the window to send it in is only two weeks, and I've already gone through a week without boxing it back up. Best to get it out of the way now, even if it means I have to be wait a little bit to get the most from it.

Stinks living on the bleeding edge, but what can I say? I love that new card/computer smell...

There is a difference between a product not working as designed and a driver controlling said product not working properly. The Amplifier works just fine. The drivers controlling it are the issue at the moment. Ironically its only an Nvidia issue at the moment. Usually its AMD playing catch up with drivers.

Every AMD driver release has release notes for it on the download site.

Yeah I know what you mean. Early adopters always pay the price and pave the way for the wait and see crowd. I have been there more than my fair share of times.

Yeah, well, you know that's just like, ugh, your opinion man.

Same here.  Sometimes you just have to be patient.  Since AMD released a driver, I wouldn't think it would be long though - could mean lost sales for Nvidia otherwise.
